What is noise ?

Noise is defined as unwanted sound. It may simply be a
nuisance factor, or if excessive or persistent, can result in
loss of hearing.
At work or at home noise is part of life:
- By disturbing peoples' concentration, noise reduces
their efficiency and productivity at work.
- By hindering communication and masking warning signals,
it can be a cause of accidents.
- Persistent noise from neighbours can induce stress and
cause people to react angrily.
Fortunately, much of the background noise we
endure in our everyday lives can be minimised by a common
sense approach, using constructions with proven performance
that employ purpose developed products.
